Trudy Donais w/ Nantan (PSA) - I
purchased Nantan when he was 7 months from Tarheel Canine. I raised Nantan to be
a Police Certified K9. Nantan was Certified at 15 months of age and sold to a
local Department. Nantan worked on the streets for approximately 3 years.
Unfortunate the Officer and Nantan where in a car accident while rolling code
three. Needless to say they both did not suffer any physical injuries but Nantan
did suffer mentally. I was then asked if I would like to purchase him back.
ABSOLUTELY! Nantan and I trained hard for the next 9 months and decided to
compete in PSA, as Nantan still loved to work! So I decided to give him a job.
We have been competing for two years this October/2006. Nantan received his PSA
TC at his very first trial. Three trials later we received our PSA1 Open and
continued to title in Open two more times before moving up to the PSA level 2.
Two trials later he received his first leg in PSA2, shortly after he received
his second leg receiving his PSA2 title May of 2006. We are now currently
competing in PSA level 3. We are proud to be the first women handler in the PSA3
level and the FIRST Dutch Shepherd! We hope to fulfill our accomplishments by
being the first not only to compete in level three but to be the first Dutch
Shepherd to receive a level three title."
